A 36-year-old Decatur man who reportedly stole seven packages of Pokemon cards from the Walmart at 4625 E. Maryland St. was apprehended by a loss prevention officer at the Walmart who later alerted the police about the robbery.
Apparently this man was able to switch price tags on two different boxes of cards, thanks to this outstanding move, The man was able to pay only about $9 for the cards which actually cost about $30-$40. He is charged with theft.
According to police report, Hetep Bitel Franklin Neter-nu was accused by the store owner of stealing two trainer packs, which can have several card packs in them and other collectibles as well.
The man is facing preliminary charges of theft under $500, which is subject to review by the Macon County State's Attorney's Office.
