Back in 2002, 20th century Fox acquired feature film rights to the Dragon Ball Franchise which includes right to create live action movies as well as being involved with the distribution of Dragon Ball animated films like Dragon Ball Z: Battle of The Gods, Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F‘, and Dragon Ball Super: Broly.
Since Disney absorbed Fox, they currently by extension, now own the feature film rights to Dragon Ball.
Rumor has it that Disney currently has plans for a new live action Dragon Ball film which will feature Asian - American actors from producers Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich who most recently produced the live action remake of Aladdin.
Keep in mind, this information is preliminary and can change at a moment's notice. Nothing has been officially confirmed yet however, this info is coming from a very reliable source (WGTC), the same one who leaked the development of Aladdin live action remake.

I really hope Disney finds a way to consider making new movies and give fans the kind of live-action cinematic experience they were hoping to get back in 2009 with Dragonball Evolution. There is a massive audience for this material if done properly.
